臺灣區域文學史寫作的發展與侷限－以《苗栗縣文學史》為主要討論對象

臺灣各地區域文學史已逐步問世，目前為止正式出版的此類著作已超過十本。雖然看似蓬勃，但以全臺縣市區域來看，事實上完成率不到一半。且由於臺灣土地狹小，行政區域重劃頻繁，致使許多「地方」不斷在變化，區域與區域之間的特徵不夠明顯，加上作家在各縣市之間流動頻繁，定位困難，這些因素都增加區域文學史寫作上的困難。莫渝、王幼華《苗栗縣文學史》於2000年出版，本書有其獨特的章節安排模式，有別於其它區域文學史，其中部分安排甚具巧思，當然也有值得商榷之處，本論文將以《苗栗縣文學史》為例，深入討論臺灣區域文學史寫作的發展與侷限。
