開發國小自然科STS教材之實驗研究

The Experimental Study to Develop The STS Teaching Materials of Natural Study of Primary School

摘要


本研究採用準實驗研究法,分為實驗組及對照組。實驗組採用研究者自編之STS教材(以國小五年級自然科編製二個單元),教材設計中融入建構主義教學策略。對照組之教材採用現行之教育部頒佈國立編譯館主編之教科書,教法採用現行之教學指引,依據教學指引進行教學活動。 教學實驗於86學年度第二學期開學時開始實施(1998年3月),實驗學校有研究者本身任教之學校4班,並由研究者尋求有意願之學校2所各2班進行教學實驗。總計參與研究者有3所學校,3位教師,學生8班(約300人),分成實驗組4班,對照組4班。教學時間約五週半。 本研究共使用四份測驗卷。「科學概念成就測驗」、「教學成效問卷調查表」、「解決生活問題的能力測驗」等三份為研究者自行開發。「推理能力測驗」乃採用省立高雄師範學院物理系(民67)依據Robert.B.Sund所著「Piaget for Educator」一書,所編製之「實物操作期推理能力測驗」為評量工具。

This study employs quasi-experimental method, which includes the experimental group and the controlled group. The experimental group employs STS teaching materials (Two teaching units are drawn up from the course of natural study of the fifth grade of primary school) designed by the researcher himself; besides, the design of STS teaching materials is combined with the teaching strategies of constructivism. The controlled group employs the current textbook, which is mainly designed by National Compilation Committee and is promulgated by Ministry of Education; moreover, the teaching methods are adopted according to the current teacher’s manual, and the teaching activities are carried out in accordance with the teacher’s manual. This teaching experiment began in March of 1998. The experimental schools consist of the school where the researcher himself teaches and the other two schools which are willing to participate in the teaching experiment. To sum up, this experiment includes three schools, three teachers and eight classes of the students (An approximation for the students is 300). The students are divided into two groups: the experimental group (4 classes) and the controlled group (4 classes). The teaching time is five weeks and a half. In this study, four tests are used for the evaluation instruments. “Achievement test of scientific concept, ” “questionnaire of teaching effect,” and “capability test of solving daily life problems” are designed and developed by the researcher himself. “Capability test of inference” employs “capability test of inference in the period of object-operation,” which is based upon Robert B. Sund’s Piaget for Educator and is drawn up by the department of physics of Kaohsiung provincial teachers college (1978).
