摘要

超現實主義是二十世紀前半最重要的藝術活動之一，他們生成於兩次世界大戰之間，他們開創出新的「藝術語言」，建立一種關懷心靈精神世界的生活方式，開啟對世界的另一種認知。使得藝術由表象有形現實界的認知，也能兼顧到個人內在形而上的思惟。本論文以探知與理解身處劫後餘生、歷經戰火的藝術家所開創的超現實主義緣起動機、創作學理、過程與發展為縱軸。進而佐證於叔本華「論現象」、「性愛的形上學」等論文以及佛洛依德的精神分析這兩個根本思惟面向，用以理解超現實主義創作過程中的實踐方式與精神狀態；試圖藉此尋出理由、建構系統，整體的認知超現實主義的歷史價值與藝術意義。

Surrealism, one of the most important art events in the first half of the twentieth century, came into being way between the two world wars, this school led way to a new from of Art Language, established a living way which is concerned with the spirits of one's inner self, surrealism in a sense enlightens an alternate philosophy towards the world, so that art transcends from recognition of tangible realistic world to somewhere further beyond, reflections to metaphoric level on each and every individual.This essay owes its motivation to the surrealism developed by artists who had gone through the turmoil of wars and survived in an effort to understand them in a realistic approach, and is unrolled in a series of evolution, including, academic theory for the creation, the process, and the development. Citation, where relevant, had been made of essays including Schoppenhauer's ”On phenomenon” and ”Metaphysics in Sex”, as well as Freund's psychic analysis, serving as philosophic orientations to look into ways of practices and psychic state in the process of creation of surrealistic works; hopefully efforts as such should help to identify the historic position and artistic connotation of surrealism, warranted by rationale, structural system substantiated in the process.
