The purpose of the study was to investigate the teaching quality of physical education in colleges by utilizing the conceptual model of service quality established by Parasuraman, Zeithaml and Berry to construct a teaching quality and satisfaction questionnaire in predicting satisfaction of students in physical education. 500 subjects were questioned with 440 returned and 392 valid. Five factors were found in the teaching quality, named tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The result of the study indicated that responsiveness and empathy could positively predict the satisfaction of students in physical education.
