3D Similar Part Search Based on CAD/PDM Integration

摘要


現今較具規模的企業擁有的幾何模型數位資料相當龐大,需要先進的設計資料控管機制以達成有效的管理,就像三維零件相關搜尋技術能加速資料搜尋的速度與正確性,避免新產品開發過程中重覆設計的資源浪費。以往研究多著重於基於不同屬性之搜尋演算法分析,較少探討於CAD與PDM整合環境之搜尋技術應用,以及相關設計資料的控管機制。本研究提出結合零件特徵樹與D2的先進搜尋演算法,並將其有效整合於結合CAD與PDM的環境中,最後以大量範例零件來測試於實際的產品開發環境中如何發揮搜尋的效果,並驗證提出技術之正確性與可行性,以促成設計知識再利用的目的。

Duplicate designs consume a significant amount of resources in product development. Search of similar parts for a given query part can avoid this problem by facilitating design reuse. Previous studies were focused on part search algorithms with different attributes and emphasized less on the search technologies based on CAD/PDM integration. To overcome this deficiency, this study proposes a novel scheme which incorporates NFD and D2 for 3D part comparison. We offer integrated part search within CAD/PDM environment. The proposed scheme is implemented using commercial software CATIA and SmarTeam to demonstrate its practicality. Test examples show that this work is effective in speeding up 3D part search and thus help reduce duplicate designs.
