In this study, we combined the photolithography, thermal reflow, molding, and UV-forming techniques to fabricate hexagon-based microlens arrays on flexible polyester (PET) substrates. Besides, we attached microlens arrays in turn on the same blue organic light-emitting device (OLED) to improve its luminous current efficiency and luminous power efficiency. The first attempt of this study was to investigate the influences of the fill factor of hexagon-based photoresist plates and the temperature on their morphology after thermal reflow. The second purpose was to study the influences of the structural parameters of microlens arrays on the efficiency improvement and CIE coordinate of the blue OLED.
