Numerical Simulation Method for Calculating Micro-Fluidic Viscometers

摘要


本文利用數值模擬法可快速計算出微流體黏度,其係藉由速度分佈曲線來分析在一微加工T形流道中兩不混合流體之體積流率比、絕對黏度比與界面偏移距離之關係。由此關係很容易計算出微流體黏度計之微流體絕對黏度,而不需要像一般量測黏度時所具備流體之絕對體積流率與壓力差。

A numerical method is proposed to measure viscosity relative to a reference fluid, where the profile of velocity is simulated, and to analyze the relationship between the volume flow rate ratio, the absolute viscosity ratio, and the interface location under two co-flowing streams in a micro-fabricated T-channel. Neither absolute flow rates nor pressure difference are required, all the values between the volume flow rate ratio, the absolute viscosity ratio, and the interface location are obtained easily. By using these data, the absolute viscosity of the fluid in Micro-Fluidic Viscometers is obtained.
