摘要

全球化的影響下，英語已然成為一種國際語言，台灣也掀起一股學習熱潮。然而這股學習熱潮之下，學生在英語學習的過程中似有許多學習上的障礙，因此本研究主要是透過現行教材的分析與應用社區資源發展英語教材的，將鄉土融入國小英語教學之中以提升學生的學習興趣。本研究採取行動研究法，研究對象為研究者所授課的四年級學童，使用自編英語補充教材，在教學過程中透過訪談、教學記錄、學生學習成果與心得等，進行分析，了解教學的實施情形並進行修正與反思。最後再利用深入訪談評估學童對於鄉土融入英語教學的學習成效。獲得成效如下：1.鄉土融入英語教學能提高學生的學習興趣：課程內容與教學素材均與學生日常生活息息相關，可結合學生的生活經驗提升其英語學習的興趣。2.鄉土融入英語教學有效提升學生的英語學習成效：根據學生訪談結果與課堂學習單的完成比例可發現，原本英語學習意願低落的學童，對英語課程展露興趣，對於學習後的產出作業也有不錯的表現。最後根據本研究結果，提供後續研究者、教師與學校一些建議。

English as a global language seems has firmly been established. As English learning in Taiwan has become a national campaign for many years, people always concern about their English abilities. The purpose of this study is to design self-made teaching materials with homeland education for the forth grade English class students and to motivate kids to work hard to English learning. This study adopts action research in the classroom. The data collections are based on records of teacher's teaching diaries, interviews to students, observation in class, etc. According to these data, the conclusions of this research are as follows. 1. Students are interested in this Self-made English teaching materials 2. Self-made English teaching materials can motivate students to learn English. Finally, there are there suggestions which are expected to be helpful for teachers and other researchers.
