科舉角色扮演模擬遊戲與經典導讀之學習內容設計

The Development of an Online Role-Playing Simulation for the Imperial Examination System and the Design of Classic Chinese Learning Materials

摘要


就語文學習而言,網路數位化教學無法全面取代傳統課堂教學,但借助電腦科技和網路資源來推展語文教學仍是今後的趨勢。網路教學無遠弗屆、不受時空侷限的優勢,使之成為極佳的學習輔助工具。電腦科技和網路資源結合,在引發學習動機及增進學習成效上,確實有不錯的效益。目前華語文教學網站很多,但大都缺乏即時互動及學習者互助學習的機制,因此本文提出一套新的學習系統-利用線上角色扮演模擬遊戲來進行華語文學習。文中介紹了遊戲流程以及教材設計原則,並以實例做為課程規劃的說明。這套學習系統中,將透過角色扮演模擬遊戲系統,來呈現知識份子在科舉制度中的學習及生活情境,以華語文經典做為學習教材,讓學習者以角色扮演、遊戲與學習社群等方法進行模擬與置人式學習,秉持寓教於樂的原則,將學習單元融入教材、活動及情節之中,進而實現增進中高階華語文能力的教學目標。

Although e-learning cannot replace traditional classroom learning in language education, the use of information and communication technology (ICT) and the Internet to promote language learning is an inevitable trend in the Information Age. With the integration of ICT and online games, research has suggested that both students' motivation and learning effectiveness can be greatly enhanced. In addition, the primary appeal of c-learning is the ability to support learning anytime and anywhere, which makes c-learning become a good means of learning. The research therefore endeavors to develop a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) to simulate the imperial examination system in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Through immersive simulation participants will learn higher level of Chinese language and cultures. While designing games for learning, not only activities but also learning objectives need to be well-planned. A learning game without objectives is merely a game available in the market. As a result, a set of guidelines for storyline and learning material design are proposed and illustrated in the online game designed for Chinese classic learning and learning community building in this paper.
