近義詞「製造」和「生產」辨析與對外華語學策略

摘要

學習語言時，「詞彙」是構成語言的基本要素。以中文為第二語言的外籍學習者，隨著中文程度的增加，所習得的詞彙量越來越多，對於許多近義詞的用法和解釋便常常感到困惑。華語教材針對詞彙項目，大多只編列生詞表以及簡單的英文翻譯解釋和例句，而許多近義詞彙的英文翻譯解釋，又往往相同，或是互相釋義，欠缺用法和實際語境、搭配關係的說明。在《新版實用視聽華語》第四册第九課，同時出現了「製造」和「生產」這對近義詞彙，英文的翻譯解釋各為：(V)to make, manufacture; (V)/(N): to Produce, manufacture; to give birth to a child/production; delivery。兩者皆含有manufacture的義項，而生詞提供的例句中，兩詞彙有時可以互相替換不形成病句，有時互相替換則會形成病句。兩者之問到底有何異同？又該如何教導外籍學生呢？
本篇論文，即針對「製造」和「生產」這對近義詞進行辨析，並在最後提出教學建議。筆者參考歷年來眾多近義詞論文的研究方法，搭配中央研究院「現代漢語平衡語料庫」的資料，由「製造」和「生產」的詞義、句法功能兩部份切入，進行整理和分析，最終提出華語教學上的建議。
在詞義部份，筆者首先蒐集了坊問出版的各式辭典，將這些辭典分為「母語者使用辭典」、「第二語言學習者使用辭典」以及「華語教材」三個類別。接著列出辭典裡頭給予這對詞彙的解釋，並由這些詞義中，整理分析出「製造」和「生產」在義項方面的同與異。句法部份，則參考中央研究院「現代漢語平衡語料庫」所提供的實際語料，在各種不同的搭配形式中，檢視「製造」和「生產」特定的句法成分，並和前面整理出的詞義部份相比較，進行連結，由此區辨兩者的異與同。
最終，針對詞義和句法功能的研究分析結果，提出「製造」和「生產」這對近義詞在教學上的相關建議。希望日後華語教師在教導外籍學生此對近義詞時，能夠更為快速清楚的傳遞知識，而學生也可以從實際語料中，搭配教師明確的解釋，迅速掌握這對近義詞彙的正確用法。

When we learning the language, ”vocabulary” is the basic elements that make up the language. To the learners of learning Chinese as a second language, when they learned more and more vocabulary, often feel confused with the usage and interpretation of near-synonyms. Most Chinese teaching materials just offer the vocabulary items and simple English translation and example sentences to the new words. But many related words in the English-language translation is often the same, or lack of use of each other, and real-world context.
This paper focus on the near-synonyms ”manufacture” and ”produce”. Writer consult many research method and data bank, try to clean out the meaning and sentence structure of ”manufacture” and ”produce”, and provide some suggestions for the teaching.
