王闓運《楚辭釋》的時代意義

The Historical Significance of Wang Kai-Yun's "Chucishi"

摘要


姜亮夫曾稱《楚辭釋》一書為「奇邃」,並謂作者王闓運「以公羊派解釋《春秋經》的辦法解釋《楚辭》」,其言引起筆者關注。王闓運身為晚清民初之經學家,為何以《公羊》學解經方法治《騷》?確實值得一探究竟。尤其,身處於新、舊時代交替的王闓運,以經學角度觀照《楚辭》,而此種闡釋下的理解,其淵源何在?探索作者詮釋之取向與意圖,即是本文用意之所在。經過本文之探討,以王闓運視屈原為縱橫家式的人物作為主軸,對《楚辭》文本進行解讀,而此種闡釋是帶有個人際遇、學養以及時代背景之因素。其次,王闓運釋《騷》之奇,即在突出屈原身為外交家之形象,並提出不少迥異前人之見,但在具體闡釋方法上,仍是傳統的。《楚辭》學之探討,隨著研究者身分與際遇的不同,其著述理念與方法也有差異,因而考察經學家的《楚辭》闡釋,梳理經學與《楚辭》學之交涉,也是一個值得耕耘的課題。

Jiang Liang-Fu said ”Chucishi” is a newfangled and profound book. He also indicated that its author, Wang Kai-Yun, interpreted ”Chucishi” from the perspective of Gongyang School, which interested the current researcher. Wang Kai-Yun, born in Late Qing Dynasty and dead in Early New China Period, was an expert on Confucian Classics. Therefore, why he interpreted ”Chucishi” from the viewpoints of Confucian Classics is the priority of this article. Actually, Wang Kai-Yun, thinking of Qu-Yuan as a diplomat, brought research convection, his life experiences, scholarships, and living backgrounds to this dynamic interpretation of ”Chucishi”. The research method applied by him was traditional, but some viewpoints about ”Chucishi” was appealingly new. It is worthwhile to study the interpretations of ”chucishi” of the expert on Confucian Classics.
