摘要

本文利用清朝錢塘人汪鵬於1764年撰述的《袖海編》爲材料，針對汪氏所見唐館建築物土神堂、天后堂及觀音堂修建及各自功能，以及對於自由進出唐館的遊女，包括遊女養成、裝扮以及陪侍等做詳細討論。大約在歷史文獻上，《袖海編》是用中文記載唐館最早、最詳細的一部著述。對後世瞭解18世紀唐館，有其不可或缺的資料地位；對其後館內建築的變遷或制度的改變，都有相當高的對照參考價值。

Xiuhaibian, written by Wang Peng in 1764, is probably the earliest and the most detailed historical literature about Tangguan. It had high reference value about the changes of architectures and policies of Tangguan at that time. As a result, it became an indispensable material while understanding Tangguan in 18 centuries. This study has a deliberate discussion on the functions and changes of Tangguans's architectures, including the Dojin dou, (土神堂, the Hall of the Village Deity), Tengo dou (天后堂 the Hall of the diva), and Kannon dou (觀音堂, the Hall of the Guanyin). This study also focuses on the prostitute, who can enter Tangguan freely, including their development, clothing and escort.
