摘要

五四時期的自由主義一直是中國近代思想史研究的重點之一。既有宏觀考察，亦有微觀分析。宏觀上考察自由主義（個人主義）在20世紀中國的演變，有利於我們整體上把握自由主義的流變以及「五四」時期自由主義在近代中國的地位。但是微觀分析不足，以致無法呈現具體變化。微觀的研究似乎一定程度上彌補了宏觀的空泛，但是也存在重複研究、宏觀上的一些不足再度被強化、概念不清、對主要雜誌分析力度不夠等問題。如此，今後研究的努力方向應是進一步還原當時的語境，著重對主要雜誌的分析，還可以嘗試話語闡釋新的思想史路徑。

Liberalism during the May Fourth Movement has always been one of the key points in the study of Chinese modern history of thought. There are both macroscopic and microscopic investigations. Macroscopically examining the evolution of liberalism(individualism) in China in the 20th century will help us grasp the evolution of liberalism as a whole and its position in modern China during the May fourth Movement. However, micro-analysis is insufficient to show concrete changes. Micro-research seems to make up for macro-emptiness to some extent, but there are also some problems such as repeated research, macro-deficiencies being reinforced again, unclear concepts, and insufficient analysis of major magazines. In this way, the future research direction should be to further restore the context at that time, focus on the analysis of major magazines, and try to explain the new ideological history path through discourse.
