橢圓機運動的特性與生理反應

摘要


橢圓機(elliptical trainer)已經成為健身俱樂部中,與跑步機(treadmill)及原地腳踏車(stationary exercise bicycle)同樣被定位為訓練心肺適能的運動器材。橢圓機的阻力、步幅、踩踏頻率與運動方向皆會影響生理的反應差異。橢圓機運動對膝關節的衝擊力明顯比跑步機來得少,對特殊族群 (老年人、婦女)而言,是相當適合的低撞擊性運動器材;而在運動生理的反應上,也相似於跑步機,最相當有潛力的有氧運動器材。
