本研究旨在探討國中生生活壓力、睡眠品質與憂鬱程度之相關性。以新北市某國中之學生為研究對象,採分層隨機集束抽樣,抽取三個年級各四個班共292人,以結構式問卷進行調查。研究結果發現:一、國中生生活壓力感受較大的為學業壓力及個人壓力;逾四成學生睡眠品質不佳;憂鬱程度部分,中、重度症狀者約占一成五。二、研究對象的整體生活壓力愈高、睡眠品質愈差,皆與較高的憂鬱程度呈顯著相關,進一步分析學業壓力、人際壓力、家庭壓力、個人壓力均與憂鬱程度呈顯著正相關。三、研究對象之背景變項、生活壓力、睡眠品質可有效預測憂鬱程度,並可解釋總變異量之60.0%;當控制背景變項時,生活壓力可有效預測憂鬱程度,並解釋總變異量之31.5%;當控制背景變項及生活壓力時,睡眠品質可有效預測憂鬱程度,並解釋總變異量之6.2%。四、自覺健康狀況、個人壓力、人際壓力、睡眠品質為憂鬱程度之主要預測變項。本研究從政策、學校、家庭、研究等層面提出諸多建議,期能降低國中生之個人壓力及人際壓力,並提升睡眠品質,以降低其憂鬱程度,增進身心理健康。
The purpose of this study was to explore the relationships among life stress, sleep quality and depression of junior high school students. By using stratified random cluster sampling, 292 students in total from four classes of each grade in one junior high school in New Taipei City of Taiwan were selected in the study. A self-designed questionnaire was used to gather data. The major findings are as follows: (1) Junior high school students perceived greater pressure from academic pressure and self- pressure. Over 40% of the participants had poor sleep quality, and about 15% of them had middle to high degree of depression. (2) Life stress and poor sleep quality were significantly correlated with depression, so were academic pressure, interpersonal pressure, family pressure and self pressure. (3) Social demographic variables, life stress, and sleep quality could predict the degree of depression and explain 60.0% of total variance. When social demographic variables and sleep quality were controlled, life stress could effectively predict the degree of depression and explain 31.5% of total variance. When social demographic variables and life stress were controlled, sleep quality can predict the degree of depression and explain 6.2% of total variance. (4) "Conscientious health status", "self pressure", "interpersonal pressure", and "sleep quality" were the main predictors of the degree of depression. The study puts forward many suggestions in regard to policies, school, family, and research, hoping to reduce junior high school students' interpersonal and self pressure and improve sleep quality, so as to lower the degree of depression and enhance physical and mental health.
