There were close relationship between Chang-An Buddhist temple's construction and the royal family. With favors and attention of National Royal government, the Chang An temple shouldered heavy responsibility no matter if the government was supported or not. The main function of official temple not only coordinated the government proceeding Buddhism activities but became one of the places of official movement. The involvement of state power influenced the operation of temple deeply. The article focuses on four parts: the relationship between the temple eminent monks and the royal family, Buddhism ritual conducted exclusively by government, the duty and management of monk, and the field and business of sutra translation.
