由文創產業論《暗戀桃花源》的創構與展演

Discussion on the Creative Conception and Presentation of Secret Love In Peach Blossom Land in Terms of Culture and Creative Industry

摘要


《暗戀桃花源》援引陶淵明的〈桃花源記〉加以改編、應用,是古典文學新詮的成功創構,與張曉風同樣取材自〈桃花源記〉的舞台劇〈武陵人〉對照來看,本劇在精神上較契合傳統文人對桃花源的認知,即象徵一個自由安寧、美好光明的精神世界、人文淨土。 《暗戀桃花源》的劇情是兩個劇團在舞台上爭彩排,讓兩個不同的故事輪流呈現又彼此關涉、相輔相成。古裝劇《桃花源》的創構明顯來自〈桃花源記〉,雖然加入了變型、諧謔,但整體上仍十分契合古典原著。《暗戀》一劇則關切的是當代兩岸的議題,然劇中的雲之凡明顯是江濱柳心中桃花源的象徵,讓江濱柳終生都在執求,卻忽視了現實中真正在照顧他的妻子。因而兩齣戲都演繹了古今人人求桃源,只是身在其中卻到他處尋的主題。 《暗戀桃花源》在文化創意產業中的意義是它能結合出新的能量來,成爲消費者廣泛接受的全新藝術型態,並提昇、陶冶觀賞者的心靈。更難得的是它爲了打破小眾消費,並不自我定格,能與時俱進,不斷加入新的元素,如請林青霞演出舞台劇、電影,運用聞人的名氣行銷;或者修改版本表達不同的思想意識;而最跳脫的則是2006年和明華園的合作,不但使本劇向大眾文化跨足開拓,多元創意的結合與展演,更成爲文創產業中値得書寫的耀眼典範!

The stage drama Secret Love In Peach Blossom Land, directed by Stan Lai who is the founder of the of Performance Workshop, is adapted from Tao Yuanming's The Tale of the Peach Blossom Spring, is a success of creative conception in its new interpretation of the classical literature. In comparison to the stage drama A Native of Wuling by Zhang Xiaofeng adapted from Tao's The Tale of the Peach Blossom Spring, Secret Love In Peach Blossom Land is more compatible with traditional literati's cognition over peach blossom spring in terms of spirit that symbolizes a free, tranquil, wonderful and bright inner world and humanistic pure land. The plot for Secret Love In Peach Blossom Land features two theater troupes fighting for the stage to be mistakenly booked into the same venue for rehearsal that two different stories are presented by turns, involved mutually and complemented each other. Apparently, the creative conception of the costume dram In Peach Blossom Land is loosely based on The Tale of the Peach Blossom Spring. Despite integrating the elements of transformation and jocularity and banter, it is quite compatible with the original and classical work in overall. Concerns expressed in drama Secret Love are contemporary cross-straits issues. In the drama, the role of Yun Zhifan is apparently the symbol of the Peach Blossom Spring in Jiang Pinliu's mind, leading Jiang to persist in the fulfillment of his ideal throughout his life by neglecting himself to take care of his wife in reality. Both dramas interpret the theme of the state of mind by people both in ancient and modern times to search for peach blossom spring as they who place them in the conception still keep searching for such conception from other places. In terms of culture and creative industry, Secret Love In Peach Blossom Land signifies that it will combine new energy to be turned into a brand new artistic form widely accepted by the audience as well as elevate and cultivate the audience's spiritual mind. To break minority consumption, what is hard to come by consists in being able to move with the times and adding new elements incessantly, such as inviting Brigitte Lin to play the leading role in this drama and movie, instead of in a state of self freeze-frame, thus successfully applying celebrity fame to its artistic marketing or amending the drama version to express different ideology. Performance Workshop eventually skipped from its original phase by collaborating with Minghhwa Yuan Taiwanese Opera Troupe in 2006, leading this stage drama to stride into the public culture. Moreover, the combination of diversified creativity and presentation of this drama has further become a shining example worthy of mention in culture and creativity industry.
