The Spatial Distribution of Leisure Activities and Facilities Needs in Taiwan

摘要

本研究以觀察角度為起點，善用大樣本調查之優勢，結合「臺灣地區國民休閒生活調查」（主計處，1994）與地理空間分佈之相關資料，以比較台灣各縣市民眾休閒行為與設施需求之相關性。並透過電子地圖與（G. I. S.）空間分析之技術。研究目的包括：（1）台灣地區居民之休閒行為在空間分佈上的差異。（2）台灣居民對於設施需求與居住地區位分佈的關係（3）探討居民對於休閒活動、設施需求與居住地區位分佈的關係。結果發現都市和鄉村地區的休閒活動有顯著的差異，至於設施的需求則沒有明顯的不同，然而對於設施的需求則反映出這個城市的特色。

This study tried to apply large sampled database to locate different leisure activities and different leisure facility needs in various counties of Taiwan. The Data collected in 1994 in The Report on the Leisure Life Survey in Taiwan, Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics of Executive Yuan, Republic of China, were adopted for the activity analysis and the facility needs Geographic lnformation System (G.I.S.) were used to locate and analyze the spatial distribution. The purpose of this study includes, 1) to compare different leisure activities among different counties, 2) to compare different facility needs among different counties, and 3) to discuss the relationships between leisure activities, facility needs, and the respondents' location. Complex results were found in various counties for the leisure activities and the facility needs. The difference of metropolitan cities and more rural areas where found has different leisure activities. Facility needs have no obvious differences from the urbanized counties to the rural counties. However, various facilities needs reflect local characteristic of these counties.
