Even though it was considered a kind of tumor only originate from pleura and subpleura, but it was also found originating from other serosa in the past decades. It is even hardly to found in oral cavity and adjacent soft tissues. In our case, the lesion was found in the masticator space, and the image revealed it was capsulated which just like the accessory salivary gland tumor. The specific diagnosis counted on immunochemical stain. The observation under microscope is necessary to distinguish whether the histopathological appearance of tumor behavior malignantly. The surgical excision is still the golden guideline to manage the solitary fibrous tumor. Our report revealed this seldom malignant primary tumor of masticator space, and reviewed the literature to discuss the different lesion of masticator space and the management of the solitary fibrous tumor.
