Ridge Augmentation with Tent-pole Grafting Technique-A Case Report and Review of Literatures

帳篷式齒槽脊增進術-病例報告及文獻回顧

摘要


Restoration of alveolar ridge deficiency or defect for functional rehabilitation is always challenging for dentists and oral and maxillofacial surgeons. Tent-pole grafting technique is one of the most commonly used methods and was proved to be effective in this field. We present a case of alveolar ridge augmentation with tent-pole grafting technique, using freeze-dried bone allograft (FDBA), titanium-reinforced high-density polytetrafluoroethylene (d-PTFE) membrane and tenting screws. The bone gain was 5 mm in height with 15 mm in width. Dental implants placement was performed successfully. We reviewed several studies and discussed the tent-pole grafting technique for alveolar ridge augmentation.
