In recent years, psychiatric medicine and social security network have often been reported by the media, regrettably resulting in the stigmatization of mental illnesses. The reinforcement of psychiatric medicine and the construction of social security network and community resources cannot be delayed. This study centered on psychiatric medicine and discussed it from the perspectives of patients, medical institutions, and community mental health centers. The discussion included the clinical manifestations of mental illnesses, comorbidities of substance use, application of long-acting injection, and the planning of community mental health centers. The literatures cited and the suggestions offered in this study may serve as references for the public, professionals, and policymakers, reduce the stigma on mental illnesses, and increase the accessibility of psychiatric medical resources.
