黑白影像的色彩重製與創作

摘要

攝影只是忠實記載著當時的事實，一張沒有經過設計或組識而制式的全家照所傳遞的視覺符號訊息只是二零年代鄉下佃農貧窮的縮影。但經過軟體的重新編修上色過程中，用現代的數位科技可把毫無特色的黑白照片變成如油畫般的藝術品，或任意加上原沒有的元素，經過重組創新賦予照片生命。在資訊數位化尚未普及時，每個人的成長過程都有屬於個人專屬的心靈相簿，有文字敘述的日記、影像紀事的相簿，資訊發達的今日，則有網路日誌(blog)亦稱部落格或網路相簿。本研究以創作者自身的家族舊黑白照片為主，藉由觀看照片中去拼湊二、三零年代的農村生活到三、四零年代經濟起飛，大量勞動人口流入都市，到五、六零年代相機不再只屬於某些社會階層所獨享，黑白照片藉由影像軟體重新數位化的過程中色彩重製，觀者從參與舊照片中的人、事、物中藉此重新詮釋與解讀影像中各年代不同符碼的訊息傳遞。攝影家或許會藉著他所拍攝的瞬間，試著邀請觀者賦予這個瞬間，一段過去與未來的脈絡，藉以延長符碼的意義。而透過黑白影像或許看不見色彩，但每張照片中的人物或元件，忠實傳遞著訊息卻可解讀出每個影像背後的真實故事或當代的人文背景，色彩重製時又重現當時的靈光。影像經電腦軟體的色彩重製，打破攝影的真實性，破壞影像的原始圖像如加入人為意識的圖像或符號，都可使得呈現出來的「此存在」時間與空間錯置。

Photography is only a faithfully recording of a truth at a particularly time. An undersigned or unorganized photograph of the whole family which is only a visual symbol of poor countryside in 1920'. By modern technology, repainting by computer software, we can turn an ordinary black white picture to a piece of art, like an oil painting. We can put in on new elements that are not existed in the original picture therefore a new life of a picture is born. During the time when the digital technology was not popularized, everyone has his personal record of course of growing up probably by literature or photograph. Now a day, web-log (blog) or web photo album is more popular. This study is focus on my family black-white photographs, by studying these old photos to organize the evolution of photography from farming era of 1920s to 1930s, the economy thriving age of 30s and 40s that the mass labor flooded with the cities, till the ages of 50s and 60s, camera was no more the privilege of some social stratums. When the old black-white photos are composed with colors by computer software, the readers would have new annotation and decipher the information that the photographer wants to be transmitted of the photos, which the significance from the past to the future.
