以女性主義觀點分析迪士尼公主形象表現的今昔差異

摘要

每個女孩的童年都憧憬著公主般的夢幻生活、與王子間的浪漫故事，但童話對公主的再現，卻影響著女性意識的發展。本研究針對迪士尼公主系列最初的六個公主角色，以及最近期的兩部動畫【公主與青蛙】（2009）、【魔髮奇緣】（2010）作為研究文本，以質化研究中的文獻分析及語意分析法，來詮釋動畫並比較新舊公主在女性意識上的轉變與異同，採女性主義的視角來觀看公主動畫中的各種符號與象徵。提出三個研究問題：公主形象是否加深了女性的自我投射和嚮往？迪士尼「新公主」的形象是否真正的完全解放女性？「新公主」所代表的社會意涵為何？研究結果發現每個時期的公主動畫，分別依尋著特定的模式來表現，無論是服裝外形、個性舉止，這些表現和當代社會對女性的觀看方式其實有關。新公主在特質上多了自我意識以及自我權，在劇情上也添加了冒險、喜劇情節，不同於以前以愛情為主軸之作品。迪士尼的確賦予新公主們自覺與自主權，但事實上新公主們依舊是活在「男人當家」世界下的產物，掌握她們是否能完成自我實踐的契機仍還是－王子。

Every girl dreamed of life in the princess fairytales and romances with the prince in their childhood. But the representation of princesses in the fairytales has influenced the development of feminine consciousness. Our research subject is the animation film produced by Disney Company. We use qualitative which includes integrative review and semiotic analysis to explain the details in the animations and contrast the variation between the past and present princesses. And we observe the symbols in princess animation from feminist perspective.We point out three questions: Does the princess figure reinforce female's self-projection on it? Dose the Disney ”new princess” images actually liberate the female? And what's the social meaning of the ”new princess”? As a result, we found that each animation film follows a specific model in that period. The elements in a model including princesses' look, clothes, personality and behavior.... and so on. These elements actually related to the outlook on female in the society of the day.
