應用電腦斷層掃描估計人體肢段生物力學參數—個案報告

CT Scanning for Estimation of Human Segment Biomechanical Parameters-Case Study

摘要


人體肢段的生物力學參數諸如體積、質量、質心、轉動慣量以及轉動慣量半徑等數據,在生物力學與運動力學的計算極為重要。過去這些參數的量測最主要是以漸進式的浸水法搭配平台法、擺動法、釋放法等方式來校正。這些方法有欠精準,其主要因是忽略骨骼、肌肉與脂肪等組織的密度與分佈的差異。近年來,電腦斷層掃描(Computer Tomography Scan, CT Scan)可以很精確量測各種組織的分佈,再佐以不同組織的密度,則人體肢段參數可以計算的較為精確。本研究嘗試以1位男性與1位女性受測者的電腦斷層掃描量測骨骼、肌肉、脂肪、皮膚及各內臟等組織的分佈,來推算肢段的生物力學參數。研究結果顯示,質量的估算可以達到小於1%的精確程度,顯示這個對於轉動慣量、迴轉半徑估算的合理性。接著將肢段質量與迴轉半徑的數據與先前研究作比較,其間存在著1 %至14 %的差異。這個差異顯示進一步探討人體肢段的生物力學參數有確切的必要性。

Segment Biomechanical Parameters (SBPs) including volume, mass, center of mass, moment of inertia, radius of gyration, play an important role in occupational safety, kinematics and biomechanics. In the past, the SBPs were mainly measured by progressive immersion with force platform, Pendulum and quick-release method. However the precision of these methods is insufficient and not all SBPs could be obtained under one single method, because they all omit the difference of density of different tissues. In recent, by using CT Scan (Computer Tomography Scan), precise tissue distribution could be obtained. With this technology, assigning different density to every tissue, the estimated SBPs have been considered more accurate. This study tried to use CT Scan to estimate SBPs, including mass, center of mass, density, moment of inertia and radius of gyration. We recruited 1 male and 1 female to receive CT Scanning Images to obtain the tissue distribution. In doing so, we could use the CT Scan data to estimate SBPs. The results show the precision of estimation of mass could be less than 1%, which also implies the rationality of the estimation of other SBPs. And then comparing segmental mass and radius of gyration with other related references, it shows that 1~14% difference exists, which tells the necessity for further study and discussion on SBPs estimation.
