Exploring the Application of the Extended Tool of Key Indicator Method

摘要


關鍵指標法(Key Indicator Method, KIM)是近年國內推動人因性危害防制工作的一項重要評估工具,2019年新版KIM的延伸工具(KIM extended tool, KIM-E)能用於整併同一作業類型不同暴露作業條件的風險,可擴大原本KIM的應用性與涵蓋面,然而以KIM紙筆工具進行計算時相對繁雜。本研究針對KIM-E的內容進行說明,並為探討開發KIM_(2019)電子化試算工具的必要性,以某大學物理治療學系43名大三學生為調查對象,於遠距教學過程中採用Zuvio平台收集相關的操作與問卷調查資料。調查結果 顯示在相同時間內以KIM-E非線性公式進行三項子作業之風險整併,採用電子化工具的答對率明顯高於紙筆工具(Fisher's Exact Test, p<0.001),並且不論有無須要使用KIM-E的情境下,受測者對採用電子試算工具的接受度明顯較高(Wilcoxon Signed-rank, p<0.005),未來會更傾向於使用電子試算工具進行工作現場的風險評估。調查結果顯示年輕族群對電子試算工具的接受程度極高,開發KIM電子試算工具對國內推動肌肉骨骼危害防制工作有其必要性。

The Key Indicator Method (KIM) is a critical assessment tool to promote the prevention of human-induced hazards in Taiwan in recent years. The KIM extended tool (KIM-E) of the new version of KIM in 2019 can be used to integrate the risks of the same type of operations exposure to different conditions. KIM-E expands the applicability and coverage of the original KIM, but it is not very easy to calculate with the KIM paper-and-pencil tool. This paper first explains the content of KIM-E. In order to explore the necessity of developing the KIM_(2019) electronic tool, forty-three junior students in a university's Department of Physical Therapy were used as the survey subjects. The Zuvio platform was used to collect related operations and questionnaire data in the process of distance teaching. The survey results show that integration of three sub-task risks using the KIM-E nonlinear formula, the correct answer rate of the electronic tool is significantly higher than that of the paper-and-pencil tool (Fisher's Exact Test, p<0.001). Whether with or without using the KIM-E function, the subjects are more fond of using electronic tools (Wilcoxon Signed-rank, p<0.005) than the paper-and-pencil tool. They will be more inclined to use electronic tools for risk assessment on the job site. The survey results show that young people have a high degree of acceptance of electronic tools, and the development of KIM electronic tools is necessary to promote the prevention and control of musculoskeletal hazards in Taiwan.
