摘要

牙周疾病是由多重因素所造成，除了細菌本身的致病因素之外，宿主對於細菌的反應機制往往影響牙周病在臨床上的表現與治療結果；尤其在長期接受內科系照護的病患中，其口內常可見牙周疾病早期發病的徵兆。在牙周疾病發病的初期若能及早發現，口腔中病況通常可以得到妥善的控制與改善，甚至有利於內科疾患的控制。論文中回顧目前牙周疾病和內科病患之間的關係的相關文獻，提供臨床牙醫師長期照顧病患時可能需要考慮的一些內科疾患的問題，以期待家庭牙醫師與家庭醫師之間的相互合作，為病患創造一個更有益處的治療效果。

The periodontal disease was caused by multifactor. Besides the factor of bacterial, the host response mechanisms to bacterial also influence the clinical signs as well as treatment results. Especially in the medical compromised patients, the initial signs of periodontitis were much common in their oral cavities. If the initial signs of periodontitis could be detected, the periodontitis destructions would be well controlled and improved, even be good enough to medical conditions. Within this paper, the relationships of periodontitis and medical conditions were reviewed, we provided clinical dentists, during patients caring, the concerning about medical conditions and potential problems. Would that dentists could cooperate with family doctors, for the better treatment results of patients.
