If a crown restoration is directly fabricated on an incisor tooth with lost crown structure and part of the root, it is easy to fail to resist the lateral shear force during occlusion due to the ferrule effect cannot be achieved. A single fixed crown restoration made after crown lengthening periodontal surgery will result in a high gingival curve and too long teeth to achieve the desired appearance. Therefore, for the case of this fractured incisor tooth, after nearly four months, the treatment process was combined with root canal treatment, orthodontic forced eruption , periodontal surgery for crown lengthening, casting post and core, and single fixed crown restoration. This article will present recalled visits during the past eight years, assess its appearance, function and periodontal damage, and discuss possible causes of failure.
