Track and Field, often called the mother of exercise, is one of the most widespread sports among elementary schools in Taiwan, and can significantly improve students' fundamental fitness capacity. Taking a look at students who participate in track and field, it seems that they are more likely to be affected by communicative diseases as well as stress from school. However, students participating in track and field can face many problems, both physical and psychological, that will in turn have an effect on how they perform athletically. For example, obesity can inhibit body development in children, and large loads of school work can increase stress and reduce the amount of time the students have to practice sports. All of this will result in decreased sport performance. Traditional strength and conditioning alone cannot help the students improve their muscle fitness in a short period of time. It must be coupled with core training. In recent years, the concept of core training has become more prevalent in the field of child fitness and has had the effect of improving overall performance. It not only improves students' muscle strength, endurance, flexibility, and coordination, but it also helps them learn the necessary precautions to take in order to avoid injuries, and will increase their confidence in doing exercises. Therefore, focusing on core muscle training is very important and crucial to improving student's general fitness.
