The main purpose of this study was to explore the content of boys and girls play during toy-sharing time. This study was qualitative research based on 20 five-year-old children, 12 boys and 8 girls, in a kindergarten in Chiayi City. All data was collected through observation, interviews, children's drawings, etc. The major findings were as the follows: (1) Boys' toys tended to be stereotypical in terms of gender, but girls’ toys were more diverse. (2) Boys played toys dynamically, but girls played toys quietly. (3) Characteristics of girls' toys are beautiful but Characteristics of boys' toys are aggressive. Suggestions bases on the research findings are provided.
