本研究旨在了解臺灣幼兒才藝學習現況、主要的才藝學習,以及每周花多少時間在才藝學習上,並分析不同背景之幼兒在才藝學習現況上的差異情形。研究採用調查法,共成功訪問1448位之幼稚園幼兒。相關的研究結果如下:l.目前約有51.5%的幼兒參加才藝學習,其中以參加美術才藝最多,佔30%,其次是英語才藝,約佔24%。此外,每周幼兒大約花2.25小時在才藝學習上。2.幼兒年齡越高,參與才藝時聞也越長;而私立幼稚園之幼兒比公立幼稚園花在才藝學習時間多。而父母教育程度越高,幼兒花在才藝學習的時間也越多。3.在才藝學習方面,幼兒年齡越高,越會參與才藝學習;私立幼稚園之幼兒比公立幼稚園參與才藝學習多;父親職業聲望越高、父母教育程度越高、越居住在鄉村地區的家長,幼兒學習才藝的比例也越多。4.在所有才藝學習中,父親職業聲望越高,幼兒學習各項才藝也越多;而在私立幼稚園就讀之幼兒,在各項才藝學習上也明顯高於公立幼稚園就讀之幼兒。
The aims for this study are to investigate talent-learning for children in Taiwan, what talent lessons are taken, and how much time children spend on talent-learning per week. Additional analysis on talent-learning differences due to children's various backgrounds is also provided. The research method used is interview. There are 1448 kindergarten students interviewed. The results are listed as follows: First of all, 51.5% of the students interviewed participate in talent-learning classes; 30% of them join drawing lesson; 24% of them have English lesson. The average time spent on talent-learning for each child is 2.25/hrs per week. Secondly, the older the children's ages are, the more time they spend on talent-learning lessons. Children studying in private kindergartens spend more time in talent-learning classes than those studying in the public system. Moreover, the time children spend on learning talent increases as their parents are highly educated. Thirdly, the older the children are, the more talent lessons they have. Children studying in private kindergartens join more talent lessons than those studying in the public system. The number of children joining talent-learning lessons increases as the children's fathers are reputable in the work; the parents are highly educated; and the living districts of the families are less urbanized Finally, in talent-learning, the more prestigious one's father is at work, the more talent lessons the child will have. Children studying in private kindergartens obviously join more talent lessons than those studying in the public system.
