磁光技術在資料儲存上的應用與發展
The Application and Development of Magneto-Optical Technology in Data Storage

The recordable ability of magneto-optical material is better than phase change material. It also possesses high stability, high speed of read and write, and easy to carry. The development of magneto-optical technology is not as fast as phase change, but it has much potential than phase change material. It might become main trend in data storage industry in the near future. In this article, we will introduce the applications and developments of magneto-optical data storage technology. The potential technology from the technology point of view and recent developments will be discussed as well.
