Advanced LTPS Technologies for AM-OLED Display

先進LTPS技術在主動式有機發光二極體顯示器上的應用

摘要


本篇探討並列舉以低溫多晶矽為陣列基板的先進技術並應用於主動式有機發光二極體顯示器。首先提出的電壓驅動畫素補償電路可有效的降低面板亮度不均勻現象,而在行動顯示器省電方面,提出以RGBW四原色為基礎的裝置以及面板亮度可自動調整的方法進而降低面板的用電消耗量,並可藉由面板亮度的改變增加對比。最後列舉彩色濾光膜整合至陣列基板的技術並成功應用在七吋面板上,此技術可用在高解析度與大尺寸面板上。

Significant progresses on low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) backplane technologies for active-matrix organic light emitting diode (AM-OLED) architectures were demonstrated and reported. An improved voltage-driven pixel compensation circuit was proposed to overcome the non-uniformity issue and moreover, for mobile applications, the RGBW pixel arrangement as well as the LTPS fully integrated luminance self-controlling system was also proposed to reduce the power consumption. Finally a 7-inch AM-OLED with white OLED (WOLED) together with color filter on array (COA) technologies were demonstrated. The technology is suitable for large and high-resolution AM-OLED applications.
