Purpose: This study analyzes the current state of sports psychology research and service on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Method: Gather data from surveys and research topics and digests published by sports psychology specialists on both sides of the Taiwan Straits. Results: Sports psychology research and service possess distinguishing features and strengths on each side of the Taiwan Straits. Conclusion: This research concludes that Mainland China places greater emphasis on researching competitive sports psychology, whereas in Taiwan sports motivation and related research occupy the greater part of sports psychology research. The Mainland Area offers more complete and thorough sports psychology services to Olympic candidates. Taiwan, on the other hand, puts more emphasis on research regarding exercise psychology.
