Vitro plants of LA hybrids lily werw grown under different temperature regimes. The rate of scale leaf formation was 0.40 - 0.75 per week, with 20/15℃ relatively better, expressing dominant rosette type. In phase change, shoot apex was observed having high mitotic activity. Cell division in primary thickening meristem (PTM) was oriented from longitudinal to horizontal, and the internodes elongated rapidly. The young leaves and leaf primordia at upper site were raised with the elongation zone and developed into foliage leaves. The transition of compressed stem to elongated type was low temperature depended. Plants grown at 15/13℃ for 5 - 6 weeks were induced with shoot emergence rate up to 100%. Cultured under 25/20℃, the pretreated plants would bloom in 79 - 92 days. Record of the height was 47 - 52 cm, and the average number of buds was 6.3. The result indicates that LA hybrids are precocious and multiflorous, and the characteristics are suitable for cut flowers or potted flowers .
