本研究目的在於針對高等教育之老師與學生族群,提出一套適合使用於教學情境之電子書閱讀器功能概念設計。研究問題包含兩個部分:1. 高等教育教學情境下老師與學生之使用者行為與需求研究;2. 電子書閱讀器之概念設計與呈現。基於探討使用者需求進而提出電子書閱讀器之功能設計概念為目的,本研究以互動設計的方法概念為出發,從使用者需求分析開始,透過情境脈絡調查的方式,實地參與觀察老師與學生使用者的教育與學習行為需求。
最後,本研究綜合行為觀察與訪談結果,以及研究過程中建立之工作模型與人物誌與情境進行電子書閱讀器的功能概念設計,提出六大行為面向之功能概念。最後將功能概念的設計透過典型故事描述的方式更完整融入使用情境,同時透過情境探索的方式進行功能概念之評估,以了解電子書閱讀器是否符合高等教育教學情境下之使用者行為與需求,並整理提出「討論區功能設計、功能概念的操作問題、科技介入所產生的距離感」共三個面向的建議與討論,作為結果之進一步修正與未來研究方向建議。
