Emotional Reaction and Coping Behavior of a Mother Whose Daughter is Newly Diagnosed Leukemia Patient

This is a study of a mother’s emotional reactions and coping behavior. The field method was applied by the writer. Observations of mother-nurse interactions and mother’s reactions were analysed. The results indicated that this mother showed denial, anger, and guilty feelings. In addition, mother conducted information seeking behavior and sought religious support In this case, the nurses and various supportive sources helped the mother get through the grieving process smoothly.
