The emphasis of long-term care service is on providing assistance and care. Long-term care service system is not a standalone system of comprehensive medical care, nor is it a component of the overall medical system. Long-term care service is rather an integrated community care loop. Using case management to connect, manage, centralize, and coordinate, long-term service can address and satisfy the changing medical care needs of customers as well as promote enhanced utilization of social resources. This approach can also improve long-term care quality and cost effectiveness.
