瑪拉巴石斑之上皮囊腫病

Epitheliocystis in Epinephelus Malabaricus

摘要


嘉義縣東石鄉之瑪拉巴石斑(Epinephelus malabaricus)之半鹹水養殖場,放養總數約12000尾,在3月齡,體重約20公克時,魚隻呈現食慾不振,浮游水面與死亡,每天死亡數5-10尾。取腮作壓片鏡檢,發現腮絲上有許多圓形或橢圓形,大小不一之囊體,呈粉紅色或透明狀。在組織切片下,囊體呈嗜鹼性之均質狀,大小60-125µm,內含大量嗜鹼性顆粒。以穿透式電子顯微鏡檢查,得知這些嗜鹼性顆粒由各種細胞形成,而可分成primary long cells(長形細胞),intermediate long cells (中形細胞)和small cells(小細胞)。細胞外圍有波浪狀外膜,長形細胞為組長狀,大小2.25-4.50×0.5µm,核為細長而疏鬆狀;中形細胞亦為細長狀,但較短且圓肥,核為緻密與橢圓,大小1.50-2.10×0.7µm;小細胞形體較小且圓,具有一個緻密的核,大小0.45-0.70×0.45µm。由各項檢驗結果,我們將其診斷為上皮囊腫病(epitheliocystis)。經建議使用benzalkonium chloride solution(B.K.C)1ppm藥浴,經45天後已完全痊癒。這篇為台灣首次對瑪拉巴右斑上皮囊腫病之病原進行形態學之探討的報告。

Some moribund fishes were noticed at a hatchery in Chia-yi where 12000 Epinephelus malabaricus 3 months of age and 20 grams in body weight were being raised. They had dyspnea and swan on the surface, some died later. During a period of one month, 5-10 fish died every day. Examination of gills under the microscope revealed there were many round elongated pink or crystal-like cyst s of various sizes on the epithelium. In histological section, these cysts were 60-125 um in size and contained many polymorphic granules. Under the electron microscope the granules turned out to be cells and consisted of primary long cells, intermediate long cells, and small cells with undulant envelope. The primary long cells, 2.25-4.50×0.5µm, were elongated and slender with loose nuclei. The intermediate long cells, 1.50-2.10×0.7µm, were shorter and wider than the primary long cells. The small cells, 0.45-0.70×0.45µm, were Zmore or less round with condensed nuclei. From these results, it was diagnosed as epitheliocystis. The fishes recovered after a 45-day treatment with 1-ppm benzalknium chloride solution. This is the first morphological study of epitheliocystis in Epinephelus malabaricus in Taiwan.
