Quality Test of Aspirin Raw Materials

The purpose of this report is to investigate the strength and the presence of non-aspirin salicylates in aspirin raw materials. Eleven samples of aspirin raw materials were collected from pharmaceutical companies in Taiwan area from July 1985 to June 1986. The samples were subjected to tests for appearance, identification, presence of non-aspiein salicylates and strength according to the methods described in ChP Ⅲ. All samples passed the tests.
