摘要


壓光可同時改善紙之平滑度及減少紙張之嵩度,一般之壓光條件不能在特定之嵩度下改善紙之凸版印刷紙面之平滑度,或在特定平滑度下,改善嵩度。增加紙之含水率可改善壓光效果,壓光效果與紙中之含水率成正比,但就特定嵩度而言,無法改善紙之平滑度。 在特定嵩度下,平滑度取決於未壓光紙之密度和紙漿類別。就特定紙漿而言,紙平滑度常數之定義以式示之如下: L=Ks(b-0.65) ρo Ks為平滑度常數 平滑度常數和精鍊及濕壓條件無關,且隨纖維粗糙度之增加而增加,即粗糙紙漿可抄造粗糙的紙。在上膠轆施加澱粉於紙面,不會影響紙漿之平滑度常數。添加10%或高些之填料於紙中,會稍微減少平滑度常數。

In general, calendaring can improve the smoothness and simultaneously decrease the bulk of printing paper. At a fixed paper bulk, machine calendaring could not improve the smoothness of printing paper with letterpress. The calendaring effect on paper could be improved by increasing the moisture content of paper. The calendaring effect is proportional to the moisture content of paper. We also found that the paper was greatly affected by the density of the uncalendered paper and the type of pulp at a fixed bulk. With a fixed pulp source, smoothness constant of a printing paper can be expressed as follows: L = Ks (b-0.65) ρ0 Where Ks is the smoothness constant. Smoothness constant of a printing paper does not relate to the refining degree or wet pressing, but increases with the increasing fiber coarseness. That is, coarse fibers make rough paper. The starch-containing size pressing did not influence the smoothness constant of paper. The addition of 10% or higher filler into paper may slightly decrease the smoothness constant.
