本研究旨在探討溪頭地區兩種栽植密度(每公頃3000株與每公頃5400株)之柳杉長期生長之變化,試驗地在林齡17與28年生時受到嚴重風害干擾。風害對兩不同栽植密度林分株數造成的極大干擾,主要的影響在中小徑木上,致使原本兩種株數密度趨於相近。由胸徑與樹高最小值變化以及林分長期生長趨勢,都可以清楚看出風害的影響。將胸徑與樹高分成三個層級之後,比較大徑木層級較能顯示兩林分間胸徑生長之差異;無論是否除去少數生長停滯林木數值,兩密度林分樹高各層級幾無差異。栽植密度3000株林分至51年生後留存株數高於栽植密度5400株林分,在栽植密度3000株林分大徑木生長值較高且樹高生長幾無差異的情況下,43年生後栽植密度3000株林分蓄積量高於栽植密度5400株林分。
This study aims to investigate growth changes between two planting density (3000 trees/ha and 5400 tree/ha) of Cryptomeria in Xitou area. Both experimental plots have great wind damage at year 17th and 28th of plantation. Wind damage made great interference on plantation density, specifically, the major influence lies in middle and small diameter log, resulted in density similarity of both experimental plots. Evidence from minimum of tree high and diameter at breast height (DBH) change shows the effect of wind damage. Additionally, the wind damage has been further identified from long-term stand growth trend.Based on DBH and tree high, three classes were categorized. The critical difference of DBH has been found between both stands in the large log calss. Additionally, there is no significant difference among three classes of tree hight, whether or not removed few stagnantly growth samples. The survived tree number of low density stand (3000 trees per hectare) is greater than the survived tree number of high density stand (5400 trees per hectare) after 51th year. In the condition of DBH growth of low density stand is higher and tree hight growth finds no difference, the low density stand has higher volume stock than high density stand after 43rd year.
