摘要

束猛光魚，為一種稀有之中層洋帶魚類，目前僅有採自模式地為菲律賓之正模紀錄，但缺乏詳細採集地資料。本文採用1995年利用水試一號研究船在菲律賓民答那峨海所採獲，目前典藏於水庫試驗所基隆總所之7 尾標本。詳述其形態特徵，並提供標本照、詳細採集資料、同種具異名及猛光魚屬之檢索表。

Thorophos nexiliis (Myers, 1932), a rare mesopelagic species, was known only from the holorypc in which detailed type locality in the Philippine was not documented. In 1995, seven specimens were collected by the RIV Fisheries Researcher I from Mindanao Sea, Philippines, and then deposited in the collections of Fisheries Research Institution (FRIP), Keelung, Taiwan. In this paper, detailed descriptions, photo image, collection information of the specimens, synonym of the species, and a key to species of the genus were provided.
