The newly naturalized plant, Ipomoea leucantha Jacq. (Convolvulaceae) in low elevation of farmland and wilderness in Taiwan are reported here. The characteristics of I. leucantha can be differentiated from a similar species, I. triloba L. by the sepals that the former is glabrous, lanceolate, acuminate or caudate at apex, 10-11 mm long, and the latter is pilose, elliptic or oblong, acute at apex, 6-7 mm long. The morphological description and colorful pictures of these two species are provided to add the inventory of Taiwan and for species identification.
