Effect of Different Kinds of Proton Exchange Membranes on the Electricity Generation of a Microbial Fuel Cell in Escherichia coli

微生物生化的傳輸過程中被應用於大腸埃希氏菌的微生物燃料電池系統(微型燃料電池)進行能量轉換。將使用各種不同的PTFE-Nafion膜,211,212和117的Nafion質子交換膜調查後,在這項研究中的微生物燃料電池的電性能的影響。結果表明,340 mW/m2微生物燃料電池的最佳性能將生產研究的情況下使用的Nafion117。這些結果將是有益的微型燃料電池性能的改善。

The transmission process of microorganism biochemistry was applied to the microbial fuel cell system (MFCs) of Escherichia coli to carry the energy conversion. Different kinds of proton exchange membranes with PTFE-Nafion, Nafion 211, 212 and 117 would be used to investigate the effect upon the electricity performance of MFCs in this study. Results show that the best performance of MFCs with 340 mW/m^2 will be produced by using Nafion 117 for studied cases. These findings will be useful for the improvement in the performance of MFCs.
