There was signature ceremony for United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Carriage of Goods Wholly or Partly by Sea held on September 23, 2009 in Rotterdam. The Convention will be entered into force on the first day of the month following the expiration of one year after the date of deposit of the twentieth instrument of ratification or accession. As the most numbers of countries, non-governmental organizations and representatives of ship-owners, carriers and shippers have participated each of the assemblies than conventions used to be, the influences can be estimated. Responsibilities, liabilities and obligations of carriage are further clarified. This paper is to deal with the new rules and submits considerations the parties interested to face the reform of new legislation.
