小菜蛾生活史觀察

Observations of the Life History of Diamondback Moth Plutella xylostella (L.) in Whole Year

摘要


小菜蛾,Plutella xylostella (L.),是十字花科蔬菜世界性之重要害蟲。本文記述在本所鳳山分所網室內連續飼育此蟲一年之結果,全年共21代,有世代重疊之現象。平均卵期爲3.49±1.20天,幼蟲期爲8.24±1.80天,蛹期爲5.10±2.09天,成蟲期爲7.30±2.61天。雄蟲平均壽命爲7.33±2.48天,雌蟲爲7.19±2.85天。卵孵化率爲80.19%±12.19%,雌蟲平均產卵量爲74.24±27.52粒,產卵期爲3.33±1.18天。完成一世代平均需24.10±7.09天。各蟲期受溫度(x1),相對濕度(x2)之影響很大,複迴歸分析方程式爲Ŷ=71.4948-1.7538x1-0.0004x2 (R=0.9631)。與溫度成負相關,與相對濕度成正相關;但以溫度之影響較大。

The diamondback moth, Plutelle xylostella (L.), is one of the most destructive insect pests on cruciferous vegetables in the world. This paper reported about its life history in whole year. The rearing work was carried out in a shaded portion of a screen greenhouse from Jan. to Dec. in 1983. The moth took about 21 generations in a year, and overlapping were observed between generations. The mean developmental durations of every stage from egg to adult were 3.49±1.20 days, 8.24±1.80 days, 5.10±2.09 days and 7.30±2.61 days respectively. The longevity of male and female adults averaged 7.33±2.48 days and 7.19±2.85 days. The mean hatching percentage of egg was 80J9% and the mean deposition of eggs was 74.24 per female, while the mean duration of oviposition was 3.33 days. One generation was about 24.10±7.09 day. in average through the year. The developmental period, Y (in days) in relation to the mean temperature, X1 (℃) and the mean relative humidity, X2 (%) of various generations was Ŷ=71.4948-1.7538X1+0.0004X2 (R=0.9631). The relationship between the development of the moth and the temperature was negative, while the relative humidity was positive within adequate range.
