摘要

豬糞在臺灣所造成的環境污染已到達相當嚴重的地步，必須趕快加以有效控制。本所過去從事洋菇堆肥製造機械之研究多年，在洋菇日趨沒落的今天，欲將此項技術運用於解決豬糞所衍生的問題。先後開發完成豬糞堆肥自動翻堆試驗機合計三台，分別安裝於新竹縣橫山鄉及宜蘭冬山鄉的養豬場，進行性能試驗。試驗結果顯示本機有如下特點：(1)安全性高。(2)豬糞混合效果良好。(3)可在醱酵槽的任何區段將豬糞或已完熟的堆肥自動輸出。(4)粉碎效果佳，完熟的豬糞堆肥在裝袋前能維持在一定大小的顆粒狀或粉狀，以便於裝袋及有利於農民之施用。惟在雙向翻堆性能方面需要改進。

Hog waste is a very serious problem and causes pollution in Taiwan now, hence, it must be controlled before it is too late. This Institute had studied the mushroom compost turners during recent years. A compost turner had been designed and successfully manufactured for mushroom growers in Taiwan. However, the production cost of mushrooms in this country is too high compared with those mushroom growers in those under developed countries all over the world especially in Asia. Therefore. the techniques learned from the mushroom turner are used to solve the hog waste problem which has had already existed for so long a time in this country.
Three sets of automatic hog manure turners have already been designed and manufactured, two sets of the turner were delivered and experimented in a hog farm in Hsinchu prefecture. the third one was delivered and experimented in a pig farm in Ilan prefecture. The performances of those turners are very satisfactory in those places. special features of those turners are:
(1)The use of turners is safe.
(2)The mixing of upper and lower part of wastes are very good.
(3)The manure can be taken away from the system automatically at any place.
(4)The manure can be cut to small pieces or even powder so that famers can put them in the field without any difficulty.
However, there is also a minimum defect by using the turner, that is this turner can be operated just only in one direction. It must be improved immediately for better performances and thus easier to extend the turners to famers.
