Two Species of Parapetalus (Copepoda: Caligidae) Parasitic on Marine Fishes of Taiwan
兩種寄生於台灣海水魚體上屬於魚虱科的橈足類：Parapetalus
摘要
何與林於2004年，從台灣捕獲的小甘鰺[Seriolina nigrofasciata (Rüpell, 1829)]魚體上採集到一種寄生橈足類，鑑定為”Parapetalus longipennatus Rangnekar, 1956”是錯誤的，其正確的學名應為”Parapetalus parapetalopsis (Hameed & Pillai, 1973)”。真正的P. longipennatus蟲體標本，是從台東捕獲的平線若鰺[Carangoides ferdau (Forsskål,1775)]上採到的。本篇報告依據此蟲體標本，做一完整的形態描述。

”Parapetalus longipennatus Rangnekar, 1956” reported by Ho and Lin (2004) from the blackbanded trevally, Seriolina nigrofasciata (Rüppell, 1829), of Taiwan is a misnomer. It should have been called Parapetalus parapetalopsis (Hameed and Pillai, 1973). Specimens of the genuine P. longipennatus were recently collected from the blue trevally, Carangoides ferdau (Forsskål, 1775), caught off Tai-dong. A full redescription of the genuine P. longipennatus is given based on the specimens obtained from Taiwan.
