摘要
Ethephon處理對黃秋葵植株之生長高度稍有抑制作用，對植株開張度無影響，對黃秋葵始果期稍有延遲傾向，但對萌果形態無不良之影響。對黃秋葵有促進分枝之作用，側枝數增加，對黃秋葵産量有增進之效果。

This experiment was designed to study the effect of ethephon, (2-Chloroethyl) phosphonic acid, on okra production. The plot sizes used were Split plot, design with five treatments, four replications two varieties and forty plots. The concentrations of ethephon used were oppm (ck) 100ppm 300ppm, 500ppm, and 700ppm. The investigation indicated that the height of the check was higher than the treatment of ethephon, the branches of plant treated with ethephon were much more than the untreatment. As the result of the analysis of variance the difference in the yield among the five treatments were significant at the 1% level, and the highest yield was the treatment of 300ppm in okra Clemson spineless and the treatment of 500ppm in okra Dwarf long green pad.
