X-Ray Intensities in the 241Am Decay

241Am has been widely used as a low energy standardized gamma ray and X-ray source for energy and efficiency calibrations. However in the most cases, only three L X-ray Lα, Lβ, Lγ lines were listed. Using a high resolution Si (Li) detector with the help of computer program for spectrum analyzing, we have decomposed these lines into its components. Fig. 1 shows the X-ray and the 26.35 keV gamma-ray spectrum obtained in this Laboratory. It is our purpose in this note to report the relative intensities of all these observed X-rays, so that this source can be further established for low energy X-ray calibration work.
